“Becoming a Finalist of the Linbury Prize was instrumental to my career in theatre. The exposure immediately widened and increased my professional network of contacts and enabled me to access incredible opportunities.”

Carrie Ann Stein, Designer

Since becoming a Finalist of the Linbury Prize in 2019 Carrie has been awarded a Royal Opera House Bursary; commissions to work on two productions for the Stag Theatre and for the Royal Historic Palaces; and was recommended to Carlos Acosta at Birmingham Royal Ballet. Carrie has recently been invited to be a trustee for an exciting new Arts charity in the North of England.

The pandemic had a detrimental effect on theatres in 2020 and continues to do so in 2021. Carrie has been an active member in industry zoom meetings with Equity, Freelancers Make Theatres Work, the Society of British Theatre Designers and Improbable. Carrie has also helped to support the Custodians for Covid fundraising initiative.

Carrie is training in drawing and painting with the London School of Fine Arts and the Royal Drawing School in order to deepen her knowledge of fine art.
